![]() Kalkan is situated on the mediterranean coast in the south-west of Turkey and until the 1960s was a sleepy fishing village. Tourism is now its main industry, but the quiet resort has not lost its original charm or been over-commercialsed. The locals always greet the British warmly and most speak sufficient English to ensure you a warm welcome. There is a pretty little harbour, bus station, bank and post-office and a wide range of shops to buy excellent value carpets, leather goods and silver. |
